Marketing & Label Operations Intern
If you want to understand how the international music industry actually works—from uploading the tracks to running the campaigns, activating offline, and tracking the analytics—this is a good place to start.
Our work is growing—more campaigns, more releases, more markets, and more moving parts—and we're looking for the right person to grow with us. We are looking for the next generation of entertainment and music professionals with international vision, who are willing to start from the basics and want to build something long-term.
This is a hands-on internship built around the real tasks that keep our campaigns, distributions, and platforms running. You'll learn our systems and standards from the ground up, and as you do, your role grows with you. If this is what you're looking for, apply now.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- ✔Proactive by nature — when something is unfamiliar, your first instinct is to explore it, not wait to be shown.
- ✔Culturally aware — genuine pulse on music and youth culture across Vietnam and internationally.
- ✔Bilingual — fluent in Vietnamese and English, written and spoken. Clean formatting, no typos, every time.
- ✔Detail-oriented — from file naming and folder structure to ISRC codes and metadata. You care about getting these right because clean work is reliable work.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- →Release & Catalog Management
Gather and validate release metadata (track info, credits, ISRC/UPC codes). Execute release uploads, conduct pre-release quality control, and troubleshoot rejected releases across digital streaming platforms (DSPs). - →DSP Optimization & Pitching
Manage artist profiles (e.g., Spotify for Artists), execute direct playlist pitching, and consult artists on platform-specific content strategies like Spotify Canvas videos and Clips. Resolve profile mapping errors. - →Artist & Team Support
Help prepare assets and pitching materials alongside the artists and our internal team. Provide release confirmations, status updates, and prepare performance reports for artists and management upon request. - →Data & Analytics
Monitor revenue tracking and streaming analytics. Pull and organize streaming data reports for internal reviews and artist dashboards, and verify rights/ownership documentation prior to release. - →Events & Partner Activations
Help coordinate offline activities, from intimate fan meetings to larger live events. Support our physical campaigns by liaising with brand partners and retail outlets (such as music and fashion stores) to ensure in-person activations run smoothly. - →Content Production & Asset Management
Edit raw studio and live footage into platform-ready content for social media and digital channels. Organize, rename, and archive incoming media files following our strict naming protocols. - →Direct-to-Fan Communications & Web
Write and send email newsletters directly to our subscriber base. Update artist bios, publish editorial content, and manage backend photo uploads through our custom CMS.
WHAT YOU’LL GET
- →Direct experience on live international campaigns, real release cycles, and physical event activations across multiple markets.
- →Hands-on experience with a purpose-built tech stack — custom CMS, UTM tracking, DSP backends, and direct-to-fan communication tools.
- →A practical understanding of music business mechanics — how fan data is captured, how tracks are distributed, and how campaigns perform analytically.
- →Access to HPM's network across Vietnam's music industry, retail partners, and international connections.
HPM runs flat. There's no hierarchy in the room—everyone's voice is heard and everyone is treated as a colleague, regardless of title or tenure. You'll be expected to contribute ideas, flag problems, and speak up. That goes both ways.
We meet in person once or twice a week. Outside of that, you work where you work best—as long as deadlines are met and the output is clean.
We built this internship specifically to find and develop the people we want on the team long-term. From day one, you'll be trained for a full-time role—not just given tasks to complete. If you grow into the standard we hold, a full-time position is the natural next step.
Hot Panda Media is a small, fast-moving artist management and entertainment company based in Ho Chi Minh City. We work across artist management, live events, brand campaigns, distribution, and direct-to-fan strategy—often all at once.
We've worked with Maybelline, CHANEL, Apple, and Disney, co-hosted Vietnam's first electronic music conference, and brought international acts including MEDUZA and Blue to Vietnamese audiences. What ties all of it together is simple: we take ideas and opportunities and we make them work.
